From Bees to Blockchain: DFG Explores Collaboration and Sustainability During TOKEN2049 Singapore
Against the lush backdrop of Sentosa Pavilion on October 2 during TOKEN2049 Singapore 2025, DFG hosted a private afternoon event, “From Bees to Blockchain: Sweet Lessons in Collaboration,” gathering an intimate circle of partners, KOLs, founders, and ecosystem builders for an experience that seamlessly blended nature, innovation, and shared purpose.
Running from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM, the event began with honey-infused welcome drinks, followed by opening remarks from Angela Tong, CMO of DFG and Jsquare, who emphasized the importance of collaboration and partnership within the Web3 ecosystem.
Guests were then guided into the fascinating world of bees by John Chong, Founder of BEE AMAZED Garden, whose engaging session offered captivating insights into the behavior and intelligence of honeybees. From techniques for preventing stings and building hives with minimal resources to understanding bees as nature’s original investors in sustainability, each lesson provided an inspiring reflection on collective effort and resilience.
The experience continued with a live bee encounter and photo session, allowing guests to observe the hive’s intricate organization up close. Participants also enjoyed a multi-stage honey tasting, exploring unique local varieties while learning about the “seven organizational habits of the highly dedicated bees.”
The afternoon concluded with an insight-sharing session on what the blockchain industry can learn from bee societies — transparency, decentralization, and purpose-driven collaboration — followed by relaxed networking and a custom honey gift set for each guest.
From close encounters with bees to thought-provoking discussions on value creation, collaboration, and sustainability, the event offered a fresh perspective on how natural ecosystems can inspire human and technological innovation.
