Hangzhou Took the Center Spot Light of China Blockchain’s Stage
On the May 16th, Hangzhou has hosted the first Blockchain week at the Dragon’s Hotel. For the next three days, events include Chainge Technology, Blockchain Friends, 2019 Hangzhou Blockchain Summit and 8bit Accelerator Meetup would open to the public.
From the VC end, there have been Ant Financial, Tencent, Baidu, WeBank, Huawei, Haier, etc had participated in the Blockchain week. Blockchain experts and professors from Guanghua School of Management, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Wuhan University, Singapore University of Social Sciences have given speeches during the event about the future usage and prediction in Asian Blockchain industry. There was totally 21 speeches given, and 12 panel Q&A sessions.
Hangzhou’s first blockchain week has attracted 2,000 domestic and foreign guests. Nearly 100 blockchain media and mainstream media were reporting at the scene. Besides the main event hosted by 8bit, there were also HashKey Night, and 2019 ETC Party Night happened at the scene. Several Mainstream Blockchain Media have claimed that the offline events brought a different spirit to the Hangzhou Blockchain Week, it was unique and fun.
The host saved the 17th entire day for a summit event, the event was instructed by the Hangzhou City Financial Office since they have already 3 similar events in Hangzhou.
Hangzhou blockchain week gathered leaders from Huawei, Haier, Baidu, and Weizhong Bank.
There were more than 600 people on the scene, which was twice many people as we expected. The corners of the venue were crowded with participants who were on tiptoe to listen to the guests. Finally, the organizer 8bit had to open another temporary meeting place to disperse the flow of people through live broadcast.

In mid-May, the New York Consensus Conference taken the center spotlight. It is considered to be the top summit of the blockchain industry. Sometimes, the speeches of the guests may affect the cryptocurrency price. However, Hangzhou’s Blockchain Summit had many participants just as the New York Consensus event!
There were totally 83 guest speakers during the event. They viewed entire Asian Blockchain industry in large-scale of commercial applications.
